A beautiful April week in Sunny Adelaide saw 22 Piranhas dive into 6 days of fierce competition at the Australian Age Nationals.
We saw some amazing swims with 56% of them a PB. Our 22 Swimmers, 3 Coaches, and 1 Team Manager thoroughly enjoyed watching 84 Heat Swims, 30 Final Swims, 5 Club Relays, and 2 State Relays with Zara and Bailey both making a State Relay Team where NSW dominated!
Our swimmers earned a total of 4 Golds, 4 Silvers, 2 Bronze and 11 Top 10 finishes resulting in us ranking 10th in Australia with heaps more points this year.
Special mention to Bailey Screen who, with his 200m Breaststroke result, made the Australian All Time Top Ten Rankings.
Congratulations to Finn, Macy, Oscar, Xander, Matt, Jack H, Sam H, Braith, Will, Zara, Lucas, Liam, Remy, Hamish, Dom, Lee, Christine, Bailey, Alex, Indie, Poppy, & Rhys! We’re all incredibly proud of each and every one of you. Proud to be a Piranha!
Less than a month later we headed back to a cold but mostly sunny Adelaide to battle it out with the best of the best at the Australian Commonwealth Games Trials. Our Team of 6 – Josh, Nadine, Ryan, Bailey, Dom & Sam – under the bright lights of Amazon Prime Video swam their hearts out in impressive swims in 12 individual events. What an amazing experience to compete with the Australian Dolphins and other International swimmers!
A huge thank you to our coaches, Cameron, Lach & Sandi – you’re dedication to our team is immense and goes well and truly above and beyond and we parents and swimmers thank you from the bottom of our hearts! 💗🖤
