Membership

Welcome to Warringah Aquatic Swim Club

Whether your swimmer is just starting out or aiming for State, National or International competition, WASC has a membership option to suit their swimming journey.

As a WASC member, swimmers can access Club competitions, Inter-Club meets and opportunities to qualify for Area, State and National competitions. We also run our own Club and Inter-Club meets throughout the year, providing a supportive environment to gain race experience and improve times.

WASC is proudly affiliated with Swimming Australia, Swimming NSW, Swimming Metro North East (SMNE) and Warringah Amateur Swimming Association (WASA).

Dry Members can:

Working With Children Check

WASC is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all swimmers. We encourage parents and guardians to obtain a free Volunteer Working With Children Check (WWCC).

[Apply for a Volunteer WWCC]

If you already have a valid WWCC, please provide your details to the Club Secretary or upload your documentation to Swim Central.

COME N TRY MEMBERSHIPS

The Come n Try Membership provides a once-only opportunity to compete at WASC Club meets for 60 days after joining.

What Does My Membership Fee Cover?

WASC is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit community Club. We only receive a small portion of fees from the Swimmer memberships.

Membership fees help support the Club’s activities and programs, including:

  • Relay teams
  • Coach attendance at competitions
  • Camps and bus trips
  • Competitions and Club activities
  • Professional speakers and sports professionals
  • High-performance initiatives such as lactate testing
  • Dryland training facilities and gym equipment

Membership fees also contribute to Swimming Australia, Swimming NSW and SMNE registration and administration costs, as well as insurance. Only a portion of swimmer membership fees comes directly to WASC.
