The past two days saw 10 Piranhas compete at the NSW State Open Water Championships on hot and steamy Summer days out at Sydney International Regatta Centre in Penrith. We had two of our junior swimmers, Jack & Tom, compete in their first ever 2.5km JX event. Both swam admirably with Jack coming in 3rd place and Tom in the top 20.
We had 8 of our swimmers compete in the 5km the next day with non-stop excitement and much cheering all round. The Higgs boys showed them who’s boss with both Luke (13yrs) and Sam (15yrs) winning Gold, Braith (14yrs) and Dom (14yrs) winning Silver medals and Macy, Will, Hamish and Alex all placing in the top 10.
Amazing results team, your hard work has definitely paid off! All their efforts placed Warringah in 4th place overall in the pointscore, beating so many other much larger teams!
CONGRATULATIONS SWIMMERS & COACHES!!
